How Much Does a Photo Booth Rental Cost in Tampa?
By Thomas, founder of MEMORI · October 19, 2026

Photo booth prices are all over the place, and most companies won't give you a number until you've handed over your email, your phone number and, for all I know, your blood type. I've been photographing weddings since 2021, so I've also seen what a bargain booth looks like at 10 p.m. (Picture a security camera that somebody gave a feather boa.) So here's the honest version: what booths actually cost in Tampa Bay, what you're paying for at each price, and exactly what we charge.
What a photo booth rental costs in Tampa
Across Tampa Bay, quotes for a two to four hour rental usually land in these bands. No form required, I promise:
| Type of booth | Typical price | What you usually get |
|---|---|---|
| Basic or digital-only | $300–$600 | Photos sent to phones, simple backdrop, sometimes no attendant |
| Print booth with attendant | $450–$1,000 | Prints, digital sharing, props, someone running the booth |
| Premium or luxury booth | $1,000–$2,000+ | Pro camera and lighting, custom design, styled backdrop, add-ons included |
For a national comparison, Thumbtack puts the average rental at about $489, and booking data from Check Cherry, a platform many booth companies use, shows a median of $677 and an average near $889. Tampa sits close to those numbers, with premium booths priced higher, like everything else in Florida except the humidity, which comes free.
What changes the price
- Hours. Most packages include two or three hours. Extra time usually runs $100–$150 an hour, which is still cheaper than adding an hour to the open bar.
- Prints or digital only. Prints take a professional printer, paper and ink, and they're the part guests love most. Digital-only booths cost less, but nobody has ever stuck a text message on their fridge.
- The camera and lighting. A DSLR with studio lighting looks very different from a tablet camera, especially in a dim ballroom, where a tablet turns your guests into a blurry oil painting.
- Backdrop and design. A sequin backdrop or a print design made for your event adds to the price, and to how polished the photos look.
- An attendant. Someone to set up, keep the line moving and help guests is standard at the higher end and sometimes missing at the low end. That's how your cousin Kevin ends up running the booth all night instead of dancing. Remember Kevin. He'll be back.
- Date and distance. Peak-season Saturdays book first, and venues far from the company's base can add travel.

See packages & pricingCheap vs. affordable photo booth rental: what you give up
A cheap booth can be the right call for a casual backyard party. (I'm a photo booth guy telling you that, so you know it's true.) Just know what the lower price usually leaves out:
- No attendant, so the booth is dropped off and someone on your guest list ends up running it (hi, Kevin)
- A tablet camera instead of a DSLR, which shows in low light
- No studio lighting, just the venue's overhead lights and one ring light doing its very best
- Dollar-store props that bend, peel and shed glitter on your guests by the second hour
- Digital only, so guests leave without a print in hand
- A generic backdrop and template that don't match your event
“Affordable” is really about value: the booth that fits your event and your guests at a price you're comfortable with. For a wedding or a company event, that usually means prints, a real camera and someone looking after your guests. Not Kevin. Let Kevin dance.
How to get the most from your budget
- Book two hours at the peak of the night. Right after dinner, when the dance floor opens and everyone has exactly the right amount of courage, is when the booth gets the most use.
- Start with the base package and add one thing. Timeless plus the glam finish gives you the editorial black and white look for $1,149.
- Lock your date early. Peak-season Saturdays go first, and an early booking avoids the $100 rush fee for events less than 30 days out. Future you will be grateful. Present you gets to take the credit.
Questions we hear a lot
How many hours of photo booth do I need?
Two hours covers most parties and corporate events. For a wedding reception or an event with 150 or more guests, three hours gives everyone a turn without a line.
Is an attendant included in the price?
With Memori, always. Every package includes an attendant who sets up, helps guests and tears down. Some lower-priced booths are drop-off only, so it's worth asking.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel within 30 miles of downtown Tampa is included. For venues farther out, any travel cost is included in your quote before you book.
How do I lock in my date?
A non-refundable deposit reserves your date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event. Saturdays in peak season fill 4–6 months out.
